The New Homeland Security "extremist" list - "Everybody"!

Unbelieveable!….Make Room for US Political Prisoners!

Recently the American Legion National Commander David Rehbein was once again facing off with the Obama Administration officials as he did during the aborted plant to charge wounded veterans private insurance policies for treatment. Hope his efforts are as successful this time as they were a few weeks ago during that fiasco.

According to WorldNetDaily, April 12, 2009, the new “outrage” is a newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report entitled “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” of 7 April 2009 (http://images.logicsix.com/DHS_RWE.pdf) that warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed “right-wing extremists” who are concerned about firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

This is a very “scary” document that went out from the Intelligence Section of Homeland Security to all local law enforcement offices. It divides extremists into groups with the hate groups of course leading the pack and I think we can all agree on that. It goes on rant about those who favor state or local authority over federal authority as extremists further stating that those groups may include “groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issues such as opposition to abortion or immigration”.

The report goes on to discuss how veterans would be ideal recruits returning home and assimilating into their communities that are stockpiling weapons and ammunition during bad economic times.

Besides smearing our brave returning sons and daughters, the report from DHS/I&A (Dept of Homeland Security Intel and Analysis) should be chastised for encouraging reports such as the one issued by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (reports to Missouri State Police) which almost echoes the Homeland report and goes further by asking local police to profile possible right wing terrorist extremists by warning local law enforcement agencies to “watch for suspicious individuals who may have bumper stickers for third-party political candidates, such as Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin…..and to watch for individuals with “radical” ideologies based on Christian views, such as opposing illegal immigration, abortion and federal taxes.”

This is absurd. After slamming returning vets now we have local “political” prisoners! How many people are against the IRS? I would estimate a good 70% and would that make all of them “anti-government” and “right wing extremist terrorists”? If so a couple cabinet members need to start carrying that label also.   Lock ‘em up!

We are all used to the political winners blaming the losing side in elections for what they inherit, it’s common practice. This goes beyond that to actually recriminations. Since when did it become illegal or “right wing” extremist to be part of a third party, and didn’t Ron Paul actually run in the primaries as a Republican? Granted, I’m not a Ron Paul supporter and yes he did manage to gather some “fringe” elements to his campaign, but I haven’t heard that being a little off-balance is against the law. Now the post campaign finger pointing is actually taking the form of legal reprisals and accusations of criminal behavior. As far as being against illegal immigration, I guess everyone forgets that 75% of the Americans were against the joint Bush/Congress Amnesty for citizenship program last year that caused such an uproar, does that also mean 75% of Americans are right wing kooks?   If so, how did the Dems win the election with that many “anti-americans”? I’m not even going to visit the term “radical ideaologies based on Christian views”, it would take a book to tackle the anti-christian sentiment among our lawmakers and civil servants who are supposed to be protecting us and those books have been written and are out there.

I will however challenge those who believe that those of us who believe the bulk of governmental authority should rest on State and local governments are “extremist, anti-government”. We are after all called the “United STATES” and our system of government has never been a democracy but has been and still is a “representative republic” of individual states.

It would seem that Homeland Security and Secretary Janet Napolitano are well on their way to profiling most American citizens who own guns, against abortion, against illegal immigration, are veterans, voted against the winning team, are Christian, local state civil servants and county commissioners as “right-wing extremist terrorists”.

Where will we ever find room in our jails and prisons for all these “traitors” and potentially dangerous individuals?   Hold it a minute…..the jails and prisons are primarily local and State government run and the Feds sometimes rent space, but the employees work for the State or local governments……doesn’t that mean they are suspicious also since they espouse strong state governments that pay them? There will be nobody to run the jails! Hooray!   Don’t county commissioners owe their allegiance not to Washington DC but to their local constituents? Isn’t that anti-federal government? On this note, perhaps I’ll acquiesce and say “go ahead and lock ‘em up”, they’ve been taxing us to death anyway, won’t be a loss would it?

Bottom line folks this is scary stuff and my advice to you is to “be scared” , “be vigilant” especially if you were on “any” of the losing sides in this past election…..they are making it clear that it is retribution time, so get out there and start scraping those old bumper stickers off before you get pulled over. Oh and by the way, don’t be afraid to “report” or “rat out” a neighbor or two for going to Christian church, illegal bumper stickers or owning a pellet gun before they come for you first.
