Global Warming or Just Awaiting another Mini-Ice Age…..

It never ceases to amaze me and others how the media can play this game of mis-reporting, especially with liberal scare topics such as Global warming.

Example… the facts, yes… facts, that temperatures are rising globally and especially in the northern hemisphere. What I find amazing is that CNN can report one day that it is the warmest in 400 years (which actually is a truth) while ABC can take the same report and state that it’s the worst global heat wave in 2000 years (based upon a one degree increase in last 100 years). How can two responsible news agencies come up with such wide ranging quotes from the same report? Let’s also remember that it’s all second hand information from core samples etc since we’ve only been recording temperatures for about 140 years with reasonable accuracy.

The recent report by the national academy of sciences report that Global warming has been caused by humans has so many holes in it, we could pass the newly reported weapons of mass destruction in Iraq through them. It should be noted that the media is not giving this much coverage at all either, just as they are not giving coverage to the large number of scientists who believe that instead of a human induced global warming patterns we are experiencing an expected cyclic natural wonder recently barely understood. Doesn’t fit the agenda at all apparently.

What the academy of science fails to represent are theories presented by some scientists that include variables in research that the academy failed to present or take into account. I find it amazing also that one really has to search even on the internet to find the scholarly research of many respected individuals that dissent from the main-line theories. It seems that search engines like google and yahoo are complicit with the news media on selective information and research. One has to specifically ask for “dissenting” opinions rather than the “norm” on such search engines to find the contrary dramatic information.

Let’s look at just a couple of variables that scientists are discussing to explain weather phenonenom:

Scientists have understood for some time that warmth and “mini-ice ages” such as suggested in this report are cyclic and they have a couple of reasons for this, especially with regard to the Northern Hemisphere.

We all learned in grade school that the earth is Pear shaped and not circular which means there is a definite wobble when it spins upon it’s axis. Major earthquakes such as the 8.5 magnitude underocean occurance that created the devastating tsunami in Indonesia was known to knock the earth’s spin a fraction of an inch off norm prior to last years devastating hurricanes. The explosion of Krakatao equivalent to 100 hydrogen bombs in the early 20^th century almost caused a “nuclear winter” over large parts of the globe and the huge explosion at Mt St Helens caused vast climate changes in the Western US and Canada from the atmospheric cloud that remained for almost a year….and it’s getting ready to “blow” again as the bulge scientists have measured would indicate. This combined with an increase in volcanic activity warming the oceans in the Indian and Western Pacific Oceans according to some scientists does indeed create abnormal weather patterns from shifting ocean and air currents. Why wasn’t this variable listed in the items studied by the institute?

Another variable known to many scientists but few common earth people is that cycles occur in history. Examples being that we underwent (especially in the northern hemisphere of North America and Europe) a mini-ice age some claim from approximately 1500 to 1850 (a time when bubonic plague and famine claimed 100’s of thousand lifes globally). What they fail to note is that during the preceeding time-frame from around the year 1000 to 1500 (when Greenland was really “green”) the climate of the northern hemisphere was relatively warm and mild and in fact warmer than it is today.

What do some scientists attribute this to? It will amaze you how simple the explanation is. It seems that many have found coincidental matches with the earths’ orbit around the sun. Simply this is how the theory goes……the northern hemisphere which actually sees sunrise and sunset faster than the thicker southern hemisphere as there is less land mass in the northern sector facing the sun at any given time actually cools quite dramatically as the earths orbit swings wider in an elliptical fashion around the sun. As the orbit becomes more circular and even, the earth is warmed more evenly. Some say these cycles of cooling and warming lasts around 400 to 500 years each! Surprisingly these cycles coincide with known historical eras of warmth and chill quite uniformly. This is why some scientists are actually warning us about another mini-ice age rather than global warming. Ice thickness may be retreating in the Artic but in the Antartic they have measured it increasing an inch every ten years. Some have even measured increased ice depths in Greenland which was located last I heard somewhere close to the Artic circle. They are not telling you that there are differences of thickness between ice packs measured on land versus those located over water either.

Isn’t that amazing? How can the academy of science miss such simple variables that match cause and effect so well? Simple, it isn’t part of their agenda and easily ignored. A little white lie through “omission” rather than “commission”.

I hope this helps others understand that this Global warming “agenda” is just that….An Agenda by select individuals who attempt to keep other research out of the public arena. The earth is quite frankly quite resilient and throughout history man is rather pompous to think that he has much of an effect on such a renewable resource as mother earth! One would have to think that mankind was responsible for the renewed activity in the pacific rim “ring of fire”, or perhaps our pollution is the reason Yellowstone is ready to burst at the seams. Maybe the weight of overpopulation causes some continents to collide with others quicker? Don’t be conned into thinking that with all the cooling and warming this mother earth has gone through over many millennium that we have even the slightest affect on a natural scheme much bigger than anything we can possibly imagine. Mother nature will continue despite our best attempts and history has proven this over and over again.
